Settings Area

The Settings Area located in the upper part of the AVS Audio Recorder main window is used to select the input device and the recording format for your output files, adjust the input signal level and specify the file name format. This area is divided into two parts with the Status Area and the Start/Stop Recording button.

The table below describes the functions of the items that form this part of the AVS Audio Recorder main window:

Item Description
Input Device Use this drop-down list to select the necessary device if you have more than one input device installed on your computer.
Recording Format Use this section to select the output file format specifying such parameters as an audio codec and number of channels in the corresponding drop-down list.
Date & Time as Name button Use this button to change the name format for the output files.
Auto Level button Use this button to automatically adjust the input signal level.
Gain Wheel Use it to manually adjust the input signal level.
