Limiter

The Limiter effect is a special type of the Compressor effect characterized by a high compression ratio and a fast attack time. It is used to reduce peaks and spikes and limits the amplitude of an audio signal.

How to Apply

Limiter Settings

The Limiter effect allows to configure the following parameters:

• Threshold - the level (in dB) at which the limiter becomes active. The limiter will reduce the picks above the specified threshold.
• Post-Amplify - the amount of post-amplification used after the limiter has been applied. This will allow you to restore the original sound level after applying the limiter.
• Equal gain for channels - this option allows you to apply one and the same gain ratio to all channels. Enable it to avoid changes in the stereo balance of the output audio.
